24/7 emergency water removal services

Standing water can begin causing serious structural damage within hours. Whether your property has experienced flooding, a burst pipe, appliance failure, or unexpected water intrusion, SwiftDry Restoration provides fast, professional water removal services designed to stop further damage and begin the recovery process immediately.

What are professional water removal services?

Water removal services focus on extracting standing water and removing excess moisture from a property after flooding, plumbing failures, leaks, or other water intrusion events. The process begins with emergency extraction (removing visible water using specialized equipment) followed by drying and dehumidification to prevent mold growth, structural damage, and long-term moisture issues.

At SwiftDry Restoration, our certified technicians respond quickly to water emergencies and use professional extraction equipment designed to remove water fast, minimize property damage, and begin the drying process immediately.

Understanding the Problem

The Risks Of Standing Water Inside A Property

When water enters a property, the damage often extends beyond what is immediately visible. Standing water can quickly spread into flooring, drywall, insulation, and structural materials, allowing moisture to travel deeper into the property over time.
WATER INTRUSION SOURCES — REQUIRING FAST EXTRACTION
Type Common Cause Why Fast Removal Matters
Burst Pipes Frozen pipes, plumbing failures, cracked supply lines Water can spread rapidly through walls, flooring, and structural cavities within hours.
Appliance Leaks Water heaters, dishwashers, washing machines, refrigerators Continuous leaks often go unnoticed and allow moisture to saturate surrounding materials.
Flooding Events Heavy rain, storm runoff, overflowing fixtures Standing water can quickly damage flooring, drywall, insulation, and structural materials.

Why this matters for your home: If water is not removed quickly, trapped moisture can lead to mold growth, material deterioration, structural weakening, and long-term indoor air quality concerns. What may begin as a relatively minor issue can quickly develop into a much larger restoration project.

Professional water removal services address both visible standing water and hidden moisture, helping property owners minimize damage and prevent secondary issues before they become more expensive to repair.

The 24-hour rule

Mold can take hold in as little as 24–48 hours once materials stay wet. That’s why extraction speed matters more than almost anything else for your final cost — we dispatch a crew the moment you call, not after.

When To Call

When Should You Call For Professional Water Removal Services?

Not every water intrusion event looks severe at first, but even small amounts of standing water can quickly spread into surrounding materials and create larger structural problems. If your property has experienced any of the situations below, immediate water removal can help minimize long-term damage and prevent costly repairs.

1

Standing Water Is Visible Indoors

Water pooling on floors, carpets, crawl spaces, or lower levels should be removed as quickly as possible to prevent further saturation.
2

A Pipe Has Burst Or Plumbing Has Failed

Sudden plumbing failures can release large amounts of water in a short period of time, allowing moisture to spread rapidly throughout the property.
3

Appliances Have Overflowed Or Leaked

Dishwashers, washing machines, water heaters, and refrigerators can create hidden moisture issues even when visible water seems minimal.
4

Flooding Has Entered The Property

Storm-related flooding and exterior water intrusion can quickly affect flooring, drywall, insulation, and structural materials.
5

You Notice Water Beneath Flooring Or Inside Walls

Hidden moisture often remains trapped after leaks and can continue damaging materials long after visible water disappears.
+

Do not wait to remove standing water

Even minor water intrusion can spread quickly beneath floors and behind walls — fast action helps prevent bigger restoration issues later.

Causes

Common Causes Of Water Intrusion Inside A Property

Water can enter a home or commercial property in many unexpected ways, often spreading quickly before the full extent of the damage becomes visible. Identifying the source of the intrusion is an important first step, but immediate water removal is often critical to preventing further structural damage and minimizing long-term restoration needs.

Burst & frozen pipes

A damaged or broken pipe can release a large volume of water in a short period of time, allowing moisture to spread rapidly through walls, flooring systems, and surrounding structural materials.

most common

Appliance failures

Washing machines, dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, and HVAC systems can all leak unexpectedly, creating hidden moisture issues that continue damaging nearby materials.

very common

Storm & rainwater intrusion

Heavy rainfall, roof leaks, poor drainage systems, and exterior flooding can allow water to enter the property and quickly affect insulation, drywall, and flooring materials.

Seasonal

Crawl space & foundation water issues

Poor drainage around the property can allow water to collect beneath the structure, creating long-term moisture problems that often go unnoticed without professional inspection.

common

Overflowing plumbing fixtures

Overflowing toilets, bathtubs, sinks, and drain backups can release water into surrounding areas and require immediate extraction to prevent larger damage.

common

Sewer & drain backups

Blocked sewer lines or drain failures can force contaminated water back into the property, creating both water damage concerns and sanitation hazards that require immediate cleanup.

The Water Removal Process

How does the water removal & extraction work?
Our 6-step process.

Click any step to see exactly what happens, who shows up, and how long it takes.

STEP 01 · IMMEDIATE

A live technician answers and gets extraction moving fast.

Standing water doesn’t wait, and neither do we. Call our 24/7 line and a real technician answers — not a machine. We find out how much water you’re dealing with, walk you through shutting off the source if you can, and get an extraction crew headed your way immediately.

STEP 02 · ON SITE

We map every drop of standing water before extraction starts.

Once on-site, our technician walks the property with moisture meters to find the full extent of the water, identify the water category (clean, gray, or black water), and determine which floors, walls, and contents need extraction.

Typically takes

STEP 03 · EXTRACTION

Standing water is pulled out before it spreads further.

Using truck-mounted and portable extractors, our crew pulls standing water from floors, carpet, and padding first. Carpet is lifted where needed so trapped water doesn’t keep wicking into the subfloor, and furniture is moved out of harm’s way while we work.

STEP 04 · DETECTION

Hidden moisture is located and mapped.

Standing water is only part of the picture. Our technicians use thermal imaging and moisture meters to track water that has wicked behind baseboards, under flooring, and into wall cavities — the moisture a basic cleanup would miss.

STEP 05 · DRYING

The structure is dried to a verified target — not just “looks dry.”

Once extraction is complete, commercial air movers and dehumidifiers are positioned to dry framing, subfloor, and drywall from the inside out. We take daily moisture readings so drying only stops once the structure actually reads dry.

STEP 06 · VERIFICATION

We confirm the water is gone — in writing.

Once moisture readings hit a dry standard, we do a final walkthrough and document every reading for your records and your insurance company. If any repairs are needed once extraction and drying are done, we’ll walk you through what’s next.

Cost

How Much Do Water Removal Services Cost?

The cost of water removal depends on how much water has entered the property, how long moisture has been present, and how extensive the drying process will be. Fast action often helps reduce the overall scope of restoration and prevents more expensive structural repairs later.

What you actually pay

In many water damage situations, homeowners insurance helps cover the cost of professional water removal services when the damage is caused by sudden or accidental events such as burst pipes, appliance failures, or unexpected plumbing leaks.

For many property owners, the primary out-of-pocket expense is often just the deductible, while the remaining restoration costs are handled through the insurance claim process.

I have to say Christian and his crew (Caleb and Josh) were on top of the problem from the get go. I left my house for six hours and came back to a rainstorm inside my finished downstairs basement, kitchen, and living room. The filter housing on my water filtration system gave way and flooded my home in less than seven hours. I was in full panic mode. Water was pouring through my downstairs lighting fixtures, and everything felt overwhelming. As soon as I shut off the water, I searched for help in the Lake Stevens area and found SwiftDry. I called immediately, and Christian (the owner) was at my front door within 45 minutes. He and his team started the dry‑out process right away. His knowledge and care for his customers are second to none. Christian kept both me and the insurance adjuster informed every single day about what was happening. He even told her that I needed to move into a hotel until the dry‑out was complete, and after a lot of back‑and‑forth, it finally happened. If you have a leak of any kind, I highly recommend SwiftDry and their team as your first choice. This whole situation has been a nightmare for me, but with Christian’s 30+ years of experience, he reassured me that everything would be okay and told me not to stress so much. My house will be restored to its original state before the leak. I’m not familiar with how the insurance process works, like most homeowners dealing with adjusters, but Christian told me it will work out for the best. Having his experience in your corner is a huge advantage and gives peace of mind. Even though I am still waiting on my insurance adjuster’s decision on the damage and payment, I feel great that my house will not have mold in the future. SwiftDry truly came through for me when I needed help the most. This company is highly recommended for anyone needing quick and professional service. Otis Elledge

Worse possible scenario. I was out of town camping over the 4th of July Weekend, when I got some texts and a phone call from my neighbor. He sent me pics of water running down the outside of my house and told me I have a massive leak happening. My kids were close by, so I had them run over and turn off the water supply to the house. I got home within the hour, but the place was a MESS. I called Swift Dry and they responded and were at my house within 40 minutes, and this was at 1:30 in the morning. They were fast responsive and very easy to work with. by 6 am they had the bottom portion of dry wall out and off, carpet up and had set up a plethora of fans and dehumidifiers to start the drying out process. Within 5 days, the place is now ready for rebuild. They did an amazing job and I highly recommend them for any emergency needs that you may need

As a real estate agent, I’ve dealt with my fair share of unexpected situations, but this one was definitely up there. During a showing, we had a water issue in the home that needed immediate attention, and I’m so grateful we found SwiftDry Restoration. Christian, the owner, was incredibly calm, honest, and reassuring from the moment I called him. When you’re in a high-stress situation and trying to protect a home and keep a transaction together, that kind of presence makes a huge difference. He walked me through everything clearly and handled it with a level of professionalism I don’t see often. His team was also extremely respectful of the property. They made sure to put down protective paper to keep the rest of the home clean while they were coming in and out, which I really appreciated as someone responsible for the condition of the home. Christian truly went above and beyond. He even personally came to pick up a check from me so I could avoid credit card fees, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. Josh, his assistant, was also fantastic. Kind, professional, and worked diligently the entire time. They handled everything quickly, carefully, and with a lot of integrity. As an agent, I will absolutely be recommending SwiftDry to my clients and anyone who needs remediation services.

We recently discovered water damage in our home in Kirkland, and in a situation that usually feels overwhelming, they responded the very same day we called, which was a huge relief (faster than our insurance). They were incredibly professional and took the time to walk us through the entire restoration process. They explained exactly what needed to happen, what the timeline looked like, and how they would handle the damage. They ensured to check-in at the end of every day to make sure that we were comfortable and had any questions with the process. Their communication was top-notch throughout the whole project—we always knew what was happening and when. If you’re looking for a team that is professional, responsive, and genuinely cares about doing the job right, SwiftDry is the one to call.
